Artie Lange Pleads Not Guilty to DUI

New Jersey – Artie Lange has pleaded not guilty to the charge of driving under the influence of an intoxicant.
The radio personality best known as a regular of the Howard Stern Show and as author of the best-selling book “Too Fat to Fish”, was charged with DUI after a minor traffic accident in Toms River, which is about 40 miles southeast of Trenton.
According to Police, Lange’s vehicle struck the rear of another vehicle.
Nobody was injured in the accident.
Lange’s defense attorney, Michael Grasso, entered the plea for the 41-year-old comedian.
According to Grasso, Lange passed an alcohol screening test after the accident.
Police said that the officers assessed Lange as being under the influence based on their observation.
A urine sample has been requested for testing although results have not yet been received.
Lange is scheduled to appear in Municipal Court on August 26.
