ROLLOVER ACCIDENT: Crash Kills One, Injures Two Others in I-5

Coalinga - At least one person died while two others were injured after their van rolled over due to tire problems.

According to reports, the three occupants, all from Los Angeles, were traveling northbound on Interstate 5 near Highway 145 when a tread suddenly separated from a tire.

The driver Jimmy Sanpakit, 68, from Arleta, said he refrained from stepping hard on the brakes and drove the vehicle right into the center divider.

Reports said a 68-year-old male passenger, from North Hollywood, died in the accident.

Meanwhile, Sanpakit and another passenger who was identified as Kuangrudee Klaharn, 71, from Van Nuys, sustained moderate injuries.
