BICYCLE ACCIDENT: Cyclist Suffers Major Injuries in San Francisco Crash

San Francisco – A 40-year-old cyclist was hospitalized Sunday afternoon after a bicycle accident in downtown San Francisco, the California Highway Patrol said.
According to reports, the cyclist was riding against traffic flow on Washington Street near Columbus Avenue and Montgomery Street at around 4 pm when he lost control of his bicycle, fell off, and hit his head on the ground.
San Francisco fire officials said the victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening wounds and injuries.
Officers are investigating factors why the cyclist lost control of the bicycle.
