DUI Car Accident: Doctor Heads to Surgery, Arrested for DUI

Sacramento – A 48-year-old doctor was recently arrested for DUI as he hit a car while heading to a Marysville hospital where he is to perform a surgery Tuesday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.
Ifeanyi Igwegbe was said to be driving a 2006 Honda Accord when CHP got reports that the vehicle was swerving along the northbound lanes of Highway 99 before it broadsided a 2005 Nissan Altima.
Reports indicate that Igwegbe got agitated when authorities tried to conduct a sobriety test as he says he was on his way to perform a surgical procedure at Rideout Hospital.
The driver of the Altima identified as Lilia Munoz sustained injuries in the accident. There were no reports of injuries on Igwegbe.
