ROLLOVER ACCIDENT: Elderly Big Rig Driver Dies in Needles Rollover Accident

San Bernardino County - A 55-year-old big rig driver died after he lost control of his vehicle, which rolled over along Interstate 40, around 50 miles west of Needles, said California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers.
Reports said the driver of a 2001 Volvo tractor identified as Michael Goodman, from Virgin Islands, was traveling near Essex Road when he drifted off the left side of the westbound lanes.
He lost control of the tractor while trying to move back onto the freeway, causing his vehicle to rollover onto the center median, said authorities.
According to reports, Goodman was announced dead at the accident area. Meanwhile, his passenger Orlando Perez, 46, from Pennsylvania, was hospitalized after he complained of back pain.
