Truck accident: Mother, infant killed after truck crashes into Boyle Height's home
Los Angeles - A mother and her ten-year-old baby died after a truck, driven by the father, crashed into their house at Boyle Heights on Sunday.
Eduardo Villarreal, 21 years old, crashed his Cadillac Escalade six feet into their bedroom, hitting Trudy Bonilla (19) and baby Naomi before midnight, Los Angeles police officers said.
Reports said that Villareal was seen snatching the baby from her mother and running down Boyle Heights streets before a relative persuaded him to return the baby. Hours after, he crashed the truck into the mother and child's bedroom.
The mother was pronounced dead at the accident scene, while the baby died minutes after arrival in hospital.
Villareal explained to the investigators that he intended to commit suicide, but not hurt his family. Los Angeles detectives are still investigating the details on the cause of accident.
