Meth found in the possession of a driver who struck pedestrian

San Diego, CA - A 44-year-old man was seriously injured when he was struck by a woman who is suspected of driving under the influence of methamphetamine in Chula Vista.
Police found the said substance in the car of the woman.
According Chula Vista Police Sgt Ken Heinz, the man sustained and suffered from serious head trauma-his head was caved in the woman’s windshield- a number of broken ribs, as well as other injuries. He was brought to a local hospital and is currently in a critical condition.
Heinz said the pedestrian stopped in the middle of the road in order to wait for a car to make a turn after he crossed F Street’s eastbound lane, near Broadway. The man was struck by a 36-year-old woman driving a BMW, who seemingly failed to see him, he said.
The woman is stopped by the police and was placed into custody.
The woman, who is also a resident of Chula Vista, was booked on multiple charges, including possession of methamphetamine, bringing the said substance into jail, and driving under the influence of drugs. According to police, the woman hid the substance in her bra.
