Chain Kills Boy in Bicycle Accident

Tulare, CA -A 15-year-old boy was killed after being involved in a motorized bicycle accident in which he ran into a chain that was slung across on an orchard on the east side of Tulare.
The boy was identified by the California Highway Patrol as Sheldon Gonsalvez.
The accident occurred at around 3 p.m. on an orchard near Road 130 and Avenue 230 where firefighters from the Tulare County Fire Department found the boy approximately 100 yards from the roadway.
The boy suffered injuries on his chest, neck, and head and had been lying on the ground for a while before a passerby found him.
