Trailer crushes man
March 5, 2009
Exeter, CA – A 49-year-old man was killed after a trailer truck he was working on fell crushed him Thursday.
The accident occurred at around 11 a.m. when the driver of the 1996 Peterbilt truck, Simon Richards, 28, stopped the truck along Drive 234 north of Avenue 112. This was due to a problem with the left rear brake on the trailer and called the truck owner, who inched under the propped-up trailer and started fixing the brake and told Thomas to release the brake, making the trailer move and then crushing the owner, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The name of the victim has not been released until his family is notified.
